How We Work

Not everyone thrives here.That's intentional.

We decide before we build.

Direction comes first. Execution follows conviction.

We reduce before we add.

Clarity through removal, not accumulation.

We challenge work, not people.

Disagreement serves the outcome, not the ego.

We value judgment over speed.

The right decision, considered - not the fast one, forgotten.

Open Roles

The Role

Aurbyn is a studio. Not an agency. Not a consultancy. One team covering brand, product, and growth for companies that refuse to be ordinary. We are looking for a Senior Growth Executive who can think like a strategist, execute like a practitioner, and understand our brand well enough to never embarrass it.

This is not a marketing coordinator role with a senior title. It is a revenue-building, account-opening, reputation-extending position. You will own the top of the funnel for a studio that spans brand identity, digital products, growth marketing, a SaaS platform, a VC fund, and an academy.

What You Will Own

Client Acquisition

You are expected to bring clients in through outreach, referrals, partnerships, and reputation. Not volume for its own sake. Quality accounts that belong at Aurbyn.

Growth Strategy

Work with the founding team to define and evolve Aurbyn's own go-to-market position. You are not executing someone else's plan. You are co-authoring it.

Pipeline and Revenue

Own the full new business cycle: identify, qualify, pitch, close. You understand deal structure, scope conversations, and can speak fluently about what Aurbyn delivers without overselling or underselling.

Market Presence

Build Aurbyn's credibility in the markets we care about: Sri Lankan enterprise, hospitality, e-commerce, government-adjacent, and growth-stage startups. Know who the right people are. Be in the right rooms.

Growth for Clients

For select retained clients under the Marketing division, you will lead growth strategy including channel mix, paid campaigns, SEO positioning, and content architecture. You know the difference between a campaign and a system.

Brand Alignment

You are a representative of Aurbyn at every touchpoint in how you write, how you pitch, how you follow up. You understand that the way you sell is part of what we are selling.

What We Are Looking For

Psychographic fit comes first. Skills follow.

You think in systems, not tasks. You can trace a business problem upstream to its actual cause, not just its most visible symptom.
You are comfortable saying no. To the wrong client, the wrong scope, the wrong channel. You understand that the wrong clients are more expensive than no clients.
You have opinions about positioning and can defend them calmly, without ego, in front of a founder who disagrees.
You understand brand at a structural level. A brand is not a logo, not a campaign, not a tagline. It is the system through which a company communicates, behaves, and grows.
You are a better writer than most people you know. You do not send emails that are longer than they need to be. You know the difference between being persuasive and being pushy.

Experience

  • 4 to 7 years in growth, business development, or commercial strategy. Ideally in an agency, studio, or product company.
  • Track record of building relationships and closing meaningful service or product deals.
  • Experience running or advising on digital growth programs: paid media, SEO, content, conversion.
  • Comfort working in a small, senior team with no bureaucracy and no hand-holding.
  • Familiarity with the Sri Lankan business ecosystem, with a network worth calling on.
  • Exposure to SaaS growth or productised services is a strong advantage.

This Role Is Not Right For You If

  • You need an established playbook to follow
  • You measure productivity by the number of emails sent
  • You want constant direction and regular reassurance
  • You treat "senior" as a title rather than a level of judgment
  • You have not developed genuine opinions about what good growth looks like

How to Apply

Send a short note to hello@aurbyn.com with the subject line Senior Growth Executive. Tell us what you have built, what you think Aurbyn should do differently in the next 12 months, and why this is the right room for you.

We read everything. We respond to the ones that make us think.

The Role

Most companies bolt AI onto something that already exists and call it a feature. We are not doing that. Aurbyn is building intelligence into the core of how our products work, from predictive analytics inside Dashify to automation layers that make our clients' businesses measurably faster and smarter.

We are looking for an AI / ML Engineer who understands the difference between a demo and a deployed system, can take a model from experiment to production, and cares enough about the end user to ask whether the model is actually useful before asking whether the accuracy is high enough.

What You Will Own

Product Intelligence

Design and integrate ML-powered features into Dashify and client products. This means recommendation systems, demand forecasting, anomaly detection, and automation pipelines that work under real-world conditions, not just test datasets.

Model Development and Evaluation

Build, train, evaluate, and iterate on models. Own the full lifecycle from data exploration through deployment. You define what "good enough" means and you are accountable when it is not.

LLM Integration

Architect practical applications of large language models for real client problems including content generation, document analysis, and intelligent search. You know when an LLM is the right tool and when it is not.

Data Infrastructure

Build and maintain the data pipelines that feed your models. Clean data is your responsibility, not someone else's. You work closely with the engineering team to ensure ML systems are observable and maintainable.

Applied Research

Stay close to what is actually useful in current research and apply it selectively. You are not here to reproduce papers. You are here to extract value from them for products people use every day.

Cross-functional Input

Sit in product discussions and tell us what is feasible, what is not, and what nobody has thought of yet. The best AI decisions at Aurbyn will come from someone who understands both the technology and the business context it is serving.

What We Are Looking For

Judgment about when to use AI matters as much as knowing how to build it.

You are skeptical of your own models. You know that a model that performs well in evaluation can still be wrong in production, and you design for that gap.
You think in terms of outcomes, not techniques. You do not default to deep learning when a simpler model solves the problem. Complexity is a cost you justify, not a signal of thoroughness.
You can explain what your model is doing to someone who does not know what a gradient is. If you cannot explain it clearly, you do not fully understand it yet.
You ship. Research without deployment is a hobby. You know how to take something from a notebook to a system that runs reliably in production.
You are honest about uncertainty. You do not oversell what a model can do to stakeholders who want certainty. You build trust by being precise about what you know and what you do not.

Experience

  • 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production environments.
  • Strong Python skills and practical experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
  • Solid understanding of classical ML, deep learning, NLP, and when each is actually appropriate.
  • Experience working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source equivalents) and building around their limitations.
  • Comfort with data pipelines, SQL, vector databases, and cloud ML infrastructure.
  • Experience applying AI to e-commerce, analytics, or SaaS products is a strong advantage.

This Role Is Not Right For You If

  • You measure progress by experiments run rather than value delivered
  • You default to the most complex model because it feels more credible
  • You consider deployment someone else's problem
  • You are not comfortable explaining model decisions to non-technical stakeholders
  • You need a large team and established MLOps infrastructure before you can move

How to Apply

Send a short note to hello@aurbyn.com with the subject line AI / ML Engineer. Show us a model or system you have shipped, describe the problem it solved, and tell us one thing you would do differently if you built it today.

We are not looking for research credentials. We are looking for people who ship things that work.

Application

We don't hire based on credentials alone.

If you want to work with us, send:

  • A short note explaining why this work matters to you
